Samsung Galaxy S4 Will Boost Mobile Advertising

In recent news, the Galaxy S4 smart phone is out, and boy what a day it is for phone based marketers. All phone marketers should be excited about new smart phones coming out simply because it lowers the amount of feature phones. Smart phones ability to access the web at faster speeds along with sharing capabilities makes for a phone marketers dreamland.
The Iphone 5 caused an increase in phone usage and phone users and the Galaxy S4 is expected to do the same. Mobile phones are becoming a preferred way for companies to establish a relationship with their consumers because of mobile phones ability to personalize and localize with consumers.
Therefore The Galaxy S4 smart phone is expected to create a real stir for app advertisers because of its new features such as its eye-tracking interface. With new apps comes new app advertisements.

  1. Increased phone usage was evident long before the iPhone 5 was released. The smartphone market emerged largely due to the introduction of the first iPhone. Since then it has been a constant race between all the manufacturers to take back some of Apple's market share. The new S-4 is interesting but most of the hype around the new eye tracking feature is just that, hype. Many analysts do not see a future for the new feature, since Samsung is already preparing to launch a new phone I would expect more new features and the next step in smartphone technology.

  2. As an employee at t-mobile I can testify that the only real noticeable difference between the galaxy 2 and the 3 is the screen size. Although other features were extremely hyped up when the 3 dropped, they were overall overlooked in the long run. I fear that the galaxy 4 will be the same way. It will end up extremely overpriced and too close to the functionality of the 3. Im interested to see how great the improved processor and camera are going to be. With all this being said I still do think that samsung smartphones outperform the iphones by a long run. They are better in almost every category.
